Welcome to the The Sunday Paper, where each week I share my favorite recipes and inspiration for a happy and healthy life for you to enjoy on a leisurely Sunday. For more throughout the week, follow me on twitter, pinterest and facebook.
This week’s Sunday Paper features a paleo take on my favorite sushi bowl, a proven way to detox your body, and the simplest, most effective eating plan.
Wow, so it’s been a hot minute since I last wrote The Sunday Paper! If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know I’ve been traveling like crazy. First, it was a trip to California with The Almond Board of California, then it was out to Chicago for my adorable little cousins wedding, and finally out to Philadelphia for Scott’s best friend’s wedding. Phew! Between that and all the computer/website issues I had, this little column got pushed pretty low on the priority list.
I chose this Kurt Vonnegut quote because one of the things that got me through these stressful few weeks was being able to take a step back and be thankful for each moment of joy. Things felt really out of control at times, desperately trying to manage client work and the blog with technology from 1900s. Okay, so maybe that was an exaggeration, but I did have to use a computer with aim installed if that gives you any indication. Still, there was a lot to be happy about. Being surrounded by family and friends. Meeting new friends. Enjoying amazing food with my mom in Chicago. Dancing like a fool to 500 miles with the hubs. As stressful as my job was these few weeks, witnessing the breakthrough moments and successes of my clients made it worthwhile.
